ACTI’s Medicine Hat Self-employment Program helps eligible participants develop viable businesses through practical training, individual mentorship, and real-time business development.
The program is delivered through live online instruction, allowing participants to join scheduled classes from home. Medicine Hat participants learn alongside participants from Lethbridge, building relationships with other aspiring entrepreneurs from across Southern Alberta.
This is not a self-directed online course. Training is delivered live by experienced instructors and business specialists who provide interaction, feedback, and practical guidance.
Participants also receive one-on-one support from a Medicine Hat Community Program Lead who understands the local community and can provide business-plan assistance, market insight, and connections to useful resources and events.
Depending on the subject matter, there may also be opportunities for Medicine Hat and Lethbridge participants to gather for in-person sessions.
