ACTI’s Calgary Self-employment Program helps eligible participants turn their professional experience, expertise, and business ideas into sustainable full-time businesses.
The program is delivered through live online instruction, allowing participants to take part from home while interacting with instructors, mentors, and other aspiring Calgary entrepreneurs in real time.
This is not a self-directed online course. Classes are scheduled and instructor-led – creating the structure, accountability, and support participants need to develop their businesses while learning.
Participants also receive one-on-one assistance from a Calgary Community Program Lead who provides local insight, supports business-plan development, and connects participants with relevant events, relationships, and community resources.
In-person Calgary sessions may also be offered when they are considered beneficial to the program.
