About the Referral Program
The ACTI SE program is now available online (through Zoom) to eligible applicants anywhere in Alberta and people are able to attend from the safety and convenience of their homes so this is a great time to think about how you could profit from our referral fee program (spoiler alert – grads are making money at this)!
Your referrals provide us with students who have realistic expectations about how the program will impact them. And we show our thanks through our Referral Fee Program! If you know someone who has considered starting their own business, please ask them to check out the program at this website and contact us for an orientation session (during the pandemic, orientations are done by Zoom or phone as well – there is no in-person service at this time).
We ask every applicant how they heard about us. Tell your friends to mention you by name. We record this information in our applicant summary spreadsheet so it cannot be misplaced.

If an applicant tells us during the application process that he/she was referred to the program by a student, graduate, or instructor at ACTI and then the applicant enters and completes the classroom phase of the program, the referring person will get a referral fee of $100.
Over a period covering 20 classes (86 to 105), we served 304 students. Of those, 104 (or roughly 34%) were referred by graduates and friends of ACTI. For those referrals, we paid out $10,400! Some grads referred several friends and got multiple cheques.
The referral fee program is open to all students, graduates, and instructors at ACTI.
Fine print: please note that a maximum of one referral fee will be paid per referred student. If two people refer the same student, the referral fee will go to the person who referred first (as determined by the student) or the two people can split the fee. Note also that applicants cannot self-refer and claim a referral fee for themselves although that would be a really creative thing to do!
